I've been going out with my girlfriend since early February. She's going to Kent State in August. Thing is, she's staying at Kent for the next 3 years, and will sparingly come home. I told her I'm willing to drive an hour away on the weekends to see her...Given my work schedule. I love her alot and everything, but I don't know If I'm ready for this. I love her and everything, but it's insanely hard, when she visits me now, and all she wants to do is cry, because of how much she's gonna miss me...This is gonna' REALLY suck.

Long distance relationships are hard. It takes a huge amount of unselfishness and trust from both sides. Enjoy the time you guys have left together and worry about it when it happens. I wish you both luck and if you love her then she's worth giving it a try. |

People in love are annoying. Because as you get older you realise that you can get over it and life moves on. But no-one can tell you that 'things get better with time', you only know once you've been through it yourself. Like MDE said enjoy it whilst it lasts, but if it doesn't work out you'll find someone else. I was married before 20, divorced 4 years later, went off the rail and racked up debts that I'm still paying off at the age of 33, but I've been with my girl for a year and a half and things are better now. Im now thinking...I'm old enough to be your dad! You're only as old as the girl you grope at night, and she's just turned 25! |
