4th of July.
It's kind of a big deal here, we get a lot of tourists and there's a ton of stuff going on down by the beach. It's just kind of a cool thing around here.
Don't you live in Michigan? Lake beaches don't count. I don't even care if they are Great Lake beaches...Myrtle...now
there's a beach.
Hmm...favorite Holidays...
1. Christmas: Gift giving and recieving. Holiday spirit floating around everywhere. In the middle of winter, it's where I feel the warmest.
2. Independence Day (July 4th): Fireworks and the Stars and Stripes...on that day, you kind of forget that the rest of the world hates you...or you just don't care.
3. Valentine's Day: Now that I have someone to share it with. 22 consecutive V-Day's without a date! Go me! (I love Jacki!!!)
4. Memorial Day: The unofficial start of Summer...and the day to remember all the brave people who've died for their country.
5. Veteran's Day: A frequently overlooked (but important) holiday. I've earned my status as a Veteran, so it has a special place in my heart. I call all my service friends on that day and thank them. I also write a thank you card and post it on the wall at work, for everybody's who's served (or is serving).
6. New Year's: Pointless really, but fun nonetheless. I've gone to Times Square (NYC) for three New Year's. I was in uniform for the last one, so the NYPD let me and my buds right in the middle where all the celebs walk through...it was awesome.
7. My Birthday: It's all about me!..well, me and Macaulay Culkin.
8. Free Comic Book Day: Maybe not a holiday for you, but it is for me...well, me and Macaulay Culkin.
9. St. Patrick's Day: Just good old plain green fun. I don't drink that much, but this one's always fun.
10. Groundhog's Day: Not really, I just wanted the chance to tell you how f'n stupid this one is...
