Now, my favorite NHL team is the Montreal Canadiens. But I cannot believe what the San Jose Sharks have done to start the 2008-09 NHL regular season. They have played 24 games so far. Their record in those games is 20-3-1. That is simply unbelievable. There are a few teams that sit at records like 15-4-4, like the Red Wings for example, but the Sharks are just on fire! They haven't even lost in regulation yet at Home! Also, in a weird statistic, the Sharks are yet to lose when they are outshot by their opponent. San Jose is easily the best team in the NHL at this point.

It wont be long though and you will see the Wings start playing there hockey. They have ALOT of great young talent here in Grand Rapids ( The Griffin is there minor league team ) But you are right, as much as I hate the Sharks they are on FIRE right now.

VS hasnt shown much of hockey so far this year, so i havent kept up with it too much. but 20-3-1 is doing pretty good. Gonna have to start watching them if they ever show 'em on TV even though i like the devils and red wings

I'm really liking the way the Sharks are going. Not only are they impressing all the skeptics, but they recently posted their 43rd point in 25 games, tying the 1943-44 Montreal Canadiens for the best start in NHL history. The victory was the Sharks eighth in a row, but more importantly they broke a league record that hasn't been touched in 64 years.
